Wall Heath Photography Group. WALL HEATH CAMERA CLUB POLICY DOCUMENTS
Affiliated to the P.A.G.B. through the M.C.P.F. Club Rules (Items 1 & 5 updated following notice & approval at the AGM in January 2024)
1. The Camera Club shall be called THE WALL HEATH CAMERA CLUB. ( Also known as Wall Heath Photography Group for publicity purposes; agreed at AGM 2024.)
2. The aim of the group is to promote the development of a greater knowledge, understanding and practise in all aspects of still photography.
3. Main meetings shall be held every 2nd & 4th Tuesday 7.45 pm for 8 pm start; alternate week meetings may occur for
studio and practical sessions but must be added to the’ programme’ several weeks prior to the date of the
event (for insurance to take effect). Change of day agreed EGM 2020.
4. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in January when Officers of the Executive Committee will be elected.
5. The Executive Committee shall comprise:- Chairman Treasurer General Secretary Programme Lead
Up to Six other Committee Members may be appointed with tasks designated by committee e.g. Competitions, battles, studio. (The post of Vice Chairman shall not be a designated post. The necessary functions shall be performed by one of the other committee members.)
6. The Committee shall reserve the rights of expulsion for misconduct.
7. The Annual Subscription shall be agreed by the members at each A.G.M.
8. The financial year shall run from 1st January, ending on 31st December every year.
9. The Treasurer shall keep a full record of all moneys received and expended and shall render an annual statement, duly audited.
10. a)Prospective members shall be proposed and seconded by existing members of the Club and shall be deemed to be authorised and accepted as members of the Club on approval of their application by the Club’s General Secretary and Treasurer and receipt of their Annual Subscription.
b) Full members must be age18. Family members 16 – 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Anyone under the age of 16 may attend with parent or guardian as a visitor.
11. Alterations and additions to these rules can only be effective after proper notice & approval at the Annual General Meeting.
12.The Executive Committee shall be empowered to appoint members of the Club to serve as Officers and temporarily to fill vacant Committee Posts, up to a maximum of one third of the Committee, in the event of mid-term resignations or any other unforeseen circumstance.
13.All policies, procedures and activities of the Club to be in accordance with the Club’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
14.If at any Special General Meeting, a resolution for the dissolution of the Club shall be passed by a majority of the Members present, and at a Special General Meeting held not less than 6 weeks thereafter (of which no less than 4 weeks written notice shall have been given to each Member, by post or electronically) and at which, not less than one half of the Members shall be present, that a resolution shall be confirmed by a resolution passed by a majority of three quarters of the Members voting thereon, the Committee shall, thereupon or at such future date as shall be specified in such a resolution, proceed to realise the ‘property’ of the Club and after the discharge of all liabilities, shall divide the same in proportion to the aggregate total length of time each Member has been a Member of Wall Heath Camera Club. After such division, the Club shall be dissolved.
{Note 1: For the purposes of the above calculated period of Membership, the attendance record book (spreadsheet – copy with Secretary & treasurer) begun in 1990 shall be the term of reference.
Note 2: All Members advised of 1st meeting. At least ½ of total Membership, to be present to vote on resolution. If passed, ¾ of those present at next meeting must vote for resolution to realise assets.}

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY
The aim of the policy is to ensure that no individual receives less favourable treatment on grounds of sex, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, social class, age, religious beliefs, or is disadvantaged by any conditions or requirements that cannot be shown to be justified. Wall Heath Camera Club will seek to encourage all members to apply these principles to all club activities.
Policies and procedures will be designed so as not to discriminate intentionally or unintentionally against any individual on any unjustifiable grounds. Wall Heath Camera Club will also seek to respond to the special needs of any of its members and will ensure implementation of this policy by regularly reviewing its effectiveness.
